Born to the influential musician and poet Olamina of Awareness Art Ensemble (A.A.E.), Jah-I-Witness Emcee was steeped in African consciousness and reggae vibes from the start. With roots running deep into the heart of the Mid-Atlantic’s music scene, he embodies a rich legacy of sound and message. A natural on the mic, Jah-I-Witness takes the role of Emcee to a whole new level. His flow is versatile, effortlessly shifting from hardcore rhymes to soulful melodies. His lyrics blend the conscious messages of his reggae upbringing with the boldness of golden era hip hop, creating a unique and compelling style. As a producer, he crafts warm, organic sounds that pay homage to legends like J Dilla and Lee Scratch Perry. Currently, Jah-I-Witness Emcee is pushing forward with his “Orange Couch Sessions” content series and apparel line.
